Tess Stanford

Image
Today, Tess Stanford of Tess Stanford interior design came into our class to chat with us about her work and her approach to design.  We firstly met her in the Limerick adult education services (LAES) building on O'Connell Avenue. Tess designed the interior of this building so it was nice to be able to visit here before she came to the college as we had a better understanding of where she was referring to.  I really enjoyed Tess' visit, she is a very inspiring and motivating designer! Below are some pictures of the LAES building that Tess designed.  The picture below is how Tess would tackle a design brief. She has 5 phases to her design process.  A- Exploration of the brief.  B- Development sketches.  C- A final design. D- Technical/Details. E- Site installation/Finished product. To see more of Tess' work you can visit her website on http://tess-stanford.com/about-us/.

A splash of colour!

Although grey's and cream's are an easy option to paint your walls and are highly popular choices, bright bold colours are starting to takeover again, people are taking risks and going for it, and, it's a proven fact, bright colours make you happier, so why not! Below are some examples of how bright paint can be used to enhance any room in your home today.

I recently came across 'Kimille Taylor interior design and decoration' and I love her work already! Kimille takes great pleasure in designing elegant, comfortable rooms for the real living needs of her clients. By mixing antique and modern fabrics and furnishings she creates luxurious interiors with a sophisticated balance of colour and texture. Below are some images of Lincoln Square Residents which she designed.
